- I live in beautiful Northern California in a town called El Dorado Hills. My husband worked in technology for many years and is now a real estate agent. I've been married just over 23 years. I have two kids. Twenty- year-old son and 14-year-old daughter who is home schooled. It hasn't always been this way but it is working out well. I have a very self-motivated learner and I really enjoy having her around. She can set her own pace for learning and doesn't have to worry about being bored in school! She does attend a home school charter school twice a week and they teach her math, science and social studies. I'm not real confident about teaching math or science at her level, so she does get a classroom fix twice a week. The nice thing about her classroom is that there are only about 15 kids and they are all home schooled so if you don't behave, you're out! Besides the husband and the kids, we also have two dogs and three cats. There will be stories to tell about them later.
